how our law firm processes personal data
As a law firm of an attorney-at-law we are bound not only by EU personal data protection rules, but also by the rules laid down in the internal legislation of the self-government of attorneys-at-law.
The controller of your personal data is attorney-at-law Mateusz Śmiałek (Kancelaria Radcy Prawnego Mateusz Śmiałek, VAT ID 6912554091), with its registered office in Prochowice, ul. Kochanowskiego 36, 59-230 Prochowice, Poland.

This information obligation is based on Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27.04.2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR). The information is obtained directly from you.
Your personal data is processed in order to answer your questions, to perform the agreement concluded with you, and to fulfil obligations arising from the law (accounting, taxes).
You have the right to request from the controller: access to your personal data, its portability, rectification, erasure or restriction, to object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
Your data will be processed solely for the purposes for which it was collected and will be deleted after that period (no later than 5 years, where the obligation to process personal data results from the firm's tax obligations and other public law obligations).
Your data (except for data covered by attorney-client privilege) may be disclosed to: providers of telecommunications services, postal operators, courier companies, IT service providers, banks and state authorities.
Where cooperation with you is undertaken, providing us with information constituting personal data may be a statutory obligation or a condition for concluding an agreement. A refusal to provide personal data may result in the firm refusing to provide the service, because the service cannot be performed or the resulting obligations under separate regulations cannot be met.
Our firm does not use automated decision-making, including profiling.
Your data will not be transferred at the firm's initiative to third countries or international organisations.
Information our firm obtains from you in the course of providing legal assistance is covered by attorney-client privilege and is protected against disclosure under the Act on Attorneys-at-Law.
