Who we are
A firm built around two pillars of practice
The firm is run by attorney-at-law Mateusz Śmiałek, who also holds a restructuring advisor licence, in two locations - Prochowice and Częstochowa.
Banking law
Every day we support our clients in pursuing claims against financial market institutions. Our experience shows that these institutions - holding a contractual advantage over the consumer in experience, knowledge and financial resources - often draft standard-form agreements in a way that is unfair and non-transparent.
We bring proceedings against financial market institutions in currency loan matters, the free credit sanction, AML and unauthorised transactions.
Insolvency and restructuring law
The restructuring advisor licence makes insolvency and restructuring law the firm's second pillar. We conduct proceedings not only as counsel for the debtor, the bankrupt or a creditor, but also as an out-of-court body of the proceedings appointed by the bankruptcy court.
We support both creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings and in consumer arrangements. We guide businesses through the entire restructuring period and also act as arrangement supervisor.
Experience and reach
The firm operates on the experience gained across its legal practice to date. In recent years we have worked with a range of entities dealing with financial market issues and we represent clients in every legal matter regardless of its complexity - including the law of obligations, property law and consumer rights in contracts with businesses.

Mateusz Śmiałek
Attorney-at-law · Restructuring advisor · Trustee
Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław, focusing on tax law and in particular on value added tax. After passing the professional examination, he obtained the title of attorney-at-law.
Since the firm opened he has focused on insolvency, restructuring and banking law, as well as EU consumer protection law. He acts as counsel in cases across Poland.
He also holds a restructuring advisor licence and conducts proceedings as a trustee appointed by the competent bankruptcy court. The licence combines knowledge of law, economics, finance and business management.
