We serve both individual and business clients across Poland. Our professional practice concentrates on banking, insolvency and restructuring law, as well as damages claims, property law and legal services for businesses.
Who we are
A firm built around two pillars of practice
The firm is run by attorney-at-law Mateusz Śmiałek, who also holds a restructuring advisor licence, in two locations - Prochowice and Częstochowa.
Banking law
Every day we support our clients in pursuing claims against financial market institutions. Our experience shows that these institutions - holding a contractual advantage over the consumer in experience, knowledge and financial resources - often draft standard-form agreements in a way that is unfair and non-transparent.
We bring proceedings against financial market institutions in currency loan matters, the free credit sanction, AML and unauthorised transactions.
Insolvency and restructuring law
The restructuring advisor licence makes insolvency and restructuring law the firm's second pillar. We conduct proceedings not only as counsel for the debtor, the bankrupt or a creditor, but also as an out-of-court body of the proceedings appointed by the bankruptcy court.
We support both creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings and in consumer arrangements. We guide businesses through the entire restructuring period and also act as arrangement supervisor.

The firm operates on the experience gained across its legal practice to date. In recent years we have worked with a range of entities dealing with financial market issues and we represent clients in every legal matter regardless of its complexity - including the law of obligations, property law and consumer rights in contracts with businesses.

Mateusz Śmiałek
Attorney-at-law · Restructuring advisor · Trustee
Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław, focusing on tax law and in particular on value added tax. After passing the professional examination, he obtained the title of attorney-at-law.
Since the firm opened he has focused on insolvency, restructuring and banking law, as well as EU consumer protection law. He acts as counsel in cases across Poland, representing both individual and business clients.
In his banking practice he brings proceedings against financial market institutions in matters concerning loans denominated in or indexed to a foreign currency, the free credit sanction, unauthorised payment transactions and disputes arising from anti-money laundering rules.
He also holds a restructuring advisor licence and conducts proceedings as a trustee appointed by the competent bankruptcy court. The licence combines knowledge of law, economics, finance and business management.

Artur Gryz
Attorney-at-law
He specialises in court proceedings in banking law and in the pursuit of damages claims, representing both individual clients and businesses. He gained his professional experience in respected law firms in Wrocław, where he handled court disputes end to end.
He has many years of experience in proceedings against banks, in particular concerning mortgage loan agreements denominated in or indexed to a foreign currency, as well as consumer credit agreements, including matters involving the free credit sanction. He also conducts proceedings against insurance companies, representing clients in claims for benefits and compensation due to them.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław. He is entered on the list of attorneys-at-law kept by the Regional Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law in Wrocław. He holds certified command of English at C2 level.
Outside work he is a keen sport shooter with a particular interest in the legal issues surrounding access to firearms, their possession and their use.

Klaudia Zawisza
Attorney-at-law
An attorney-at-law with several years of professional experience gained in well-regarded Lower Silesian law firms. She provides legal assistance to individuals, businesses and local government units. She has extensive experience in commercial, business, administrative and civil law. She also develops her practice in legal services for housing communities and commercial companies.
In her work she values diligence, meeting deadlines and clear communication, treating every matter individually according to the client's needs.
